He was preceded in death by his youngest son Walter Lee Osborne Jr. He loved his kids so much, he would do anything to make them have everything he never did. After traveling all over the world, he returned to Montezuma, Georgia and started a career at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia. Roscoe Lamar Jr. was born on July 5, 1948, in Americus, Georgia to the late Roscoe Lamar, Sr. and the late Mary Lou Lamar. At the age of 18, he moved to Hartford, Connecticut in search for better opportunities. He was also employed by the City of Hartford’s Department of Public Works, where he retired after 20 years of dedicated service. In July of 1953, Mag was united in holy matrimony to the late Lester West.

During his younger years, he played softball and managed a team. He loved spending time with his nephews at the place he called “The House.” To many he was known as “Unc or Pops”. David possessed a no-nonsense demeanor but would give you his last. His children, grandchildren and great grands were his world. They were his first choice for spending his loving time with.
